SPRI® (Solid Phase Reversible Immobilization) is a patented, high performance paramagnetic bead-based technology based on the selective immobilization of nucleic acids onto magnetic microparticles (Hawkins, et. al., Nucleic Acids Res. 1995 (23): 4742-4743). Agencourt offers nucleic acid isolation systems to purify DNA and RNA from samples such as cultured cells, whole blood, human cheek cells, plant material, viral particles, fresh, frozen or fixed-formalin, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue, and PCR fragments. The SPRI technology allows for easy automation of nucleic acid purification with superior performance. Since its debut in 1995, the technology has been adopted by many of the largest genome research facilities around the world.
