The Agencourt Chloropure system rapidly isolates both DNA and RNA from plant material. The use of Agencourt's patented Solid Phase Reversible Immobilization (SPRI®) paramagnetic bead-based technology makes this extraction kit highly amenable to automation and has been designed for use with Beckman Coulter Biomek Laboratory Automation Workstations.
Application: DNA and RNA extraction from plant material
Downstream Application Techniques: PCR¹, qPCR, qRT-PCR, sequencing, genotyping, microarray
Kit Features:
- Significantly higher recovery of nucleic acid over other commercially available methods
- High 260/280 ratio
- Perfect for downstream PCR applications
- Processes up to 3 plates in approximately 80 minutes using a Biomek Workstation
- Automation friendly with no vacuum filtration needed

Excellent Recovery from Many Plant Species
The Agencourt Chloropure system is versatile enough to extract nucleic acid from different plant types. As seen in Figure 1, the Agencourt Chloropure kit recovers significantly more nucleic acid from cotton, sunflower, maize, and canola samples than the MagAttract² 96 DNA Plant kit.

High Purity
Contaminants can negatively affect downstream applications. As seen in Figures 2, 3, and 4, nucleic acid concentrations for the Wizard² Magnetic 96 DNA Plant system cannot be accurately determined with spectrophotometric analysis due to an extremely high A230 peak from residual buffer salts that masks the A260 peak, resulting in an inflated measurement.

Summary
The Agencourt Chloropure purification system is simple, efficient, and automation friendly when used with Beckman Coulter laboratory automation and Agencourt software methods. By using the power of SPRI chemistry, the Agencourt Chloropure system produces more DNA and RNA over competitive methods without salt contamination or PCR inhibition.
